Your Democratic Candidate - Recorder of Deeds 2019

"Home is where your heart is"

I was born and raised in the metropolitan area of Kansas City, MO, but I am very proud to call Beaver County my "home"Over the past decade, my husband, Tyrone Dixon,  and I have enjoyed making a "home" for our beautiful family in both the Aliquippa and Center Township areas.

Family & Community

My husband, Tyrone Dixon grew up in Aliquippa before moving to Center Township.  He graduated from Center High School, attended IUP, and has enjoyed a 25+ year football coaching career on the collegiate and professional levels.  Since being back home, he has coached at Geneva College and Central Valley High School.  He has enjoyed working as a para-professional and  a substitute teacher at various schools throughout the county.

For the past 15 years, Tyrone and I have been hosting the Homeboys Football Camp together, a non profit football organization designed to teach football fundamentals and character building skills, free for youth in Beaver County and he has been a volunteer youth football coach for Central Valley L'il Warriors.

We share three sons, T. Mason, Tylan, and Tanner who keep us going in their school, athletic  and day-to-day activities.   We enjoy spending time with families we've met in youth sports (football, wrestling, soccer and baseball).  Our son, Tanner was born visually impaired but we've been blessed as a family to walk this journey together and learn to view the world from a different lens, in a more meaningful way.   I wanted to become a support to other parents so I joined Parent to Parent of Pennsylvania to become a Parent Supporter.

Fresh out of high school, I earned an internship as an administrative assistant/clerk handling land contracts for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers where I found a love for real estate.  And when I moved to Beaver County in 2006, I enjoyed working as an account manager and Advocate Liaison for a medical supply company soliciting insurance companies for contracts and coverage for people with a genetic skin disorder called Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB).  Simultaneously, determined to get back to my love for real estate, I worked  as an Independent Notary Signing Agent ensuring real estate documents such as Mortgages, Deeds, etc. were properly executed, worked as a real estate admin while studying for my real estate license.  My dedication and hard work paid off and I started a full-time career in real estate in 2014 as an agent with RE/MAX Select Realty before moving to Berkshire Hathaway Home Services last year.

In 2017, I was appointed as a board member to the Beaver County Tax Assessment Appeals Board where I currently serve conducting impartial hearings on property assessment disputes of property owners  and making rulings on behalf of our commissioners.  I have met many wonderful residents of Beaver County while serving in this capacity and as a realtor.  I have a better understanding of their needs as it pertains to services that benefit them and their real property.

I love meditating, writing, music, travel and my children, of course.  My greatest rewards in life come from helping others.  Most of my free time is spent volunteering in youth activities around the community.

" For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."  Jeremiah 29:11
